Steven, love the track – do you have any tips for how you make your drums so thick and fat?
Thanks a lot! I’m constantly mixing and remixing drums to make them slam harder.
For digital drum sounds, I guess just keep getting or recording new drum samples to add to your library and mess with EQs, compressions, volumes, and even reverb or delay a lot untill it’s fat sounding.. when you think it’s perfect in the headphones, listen to it in your monitors, your car stereo, your friend’s car stereo, your crappy computer speakers, your tv speakers and try and find a happy medium of thick drums! also wait a couple days for the final mix and mix with fresh ears always helps! thanks again!
